Surface Roughness Tester is designed to measure two parameters (Ra, Rz) using the built-in Diamond pin probe. It has four wave filtering methods (RC, PC-RC, GAUSS & D-P). In addition, these parameters can be downloaded directly to PC via the optional RS-232 CD software & cables. This tester is widely used in production sites to measure the surface roughness of various machinery-processed parts and calculate corresponding parameters.
Easy measurement can be done by placing the sensor on the surface then uniformly sliding along the surface by driving the mechanism inside the tester. The sensor measures the roughness of the surface via the sharp built-in probe. This roughness causes displacement of the probe, resulting in a change of inductive amount of induction coils to generate an analogue signal, which is proportional to the surface roughness at the output end of the phase-sensitive rectifier. The exclusive DSP processes and calculates then outputs the results clearly on LCD.
