Handheld Salinity Refractometer with Built-in LED, 0-10% ATC

The Salinity Refractometer is designed for testing the concentration of salt water and brine, making it ideal for quality control in research and clinical laboratories as well as the marine industry. Its scale provides a direct reading of specific gravity and salt concentration (parts per thousand) in water. One scale measures NaCl levels within the range of 0-100 ppt (with 1 ppt scale divisions), and the other measures Specific Gravity within a range of 1.000 to 1.070 (±0.001 accuracy). Both scales allow for the direct determination of salinity in water with dissolved salt and minimal other dissolved solids, making it suitable for marine saltwater tanks.

To use, a sample is placed between a measuring prism and a daylight plate. The reading is taken when the shadow line crosses the scale from the shadow line formed between the illuminated area and the dark area. The Handheld Refractometer includes a bi-metallic strip within its rugged casing for automatic temperature compensation, ensuring accurate readings even with temperature variations. Additionally, the new model features a built-in light source, allowing you to gauge concentration even in the dark.
